Vince McMahon reportedly killed plans for ‘Pandemonium’ movie about his life

Vince McMahon is an interesting person, with fans wanting to know more about the former WWE CEO with a strong personality.

Since 2017, there have been rumors of a Vince McMahon biopic called “Pandemonium.” Bradley Cooper had been rumored to play the Executive Chairman of WWE’s Board of Directors, with John Requa and Glenn Ficarra directing it. However, there has been no news regarding the project for quite some time.

In the years since the project was first rumored, McMahon’s public image has taken a hit due to the hush money scandal that broke last year, leading to him resigning as CEO and Chairman of WWE before returning to the board this past January.

While speaking during a recent interview with SlashFilm to promote their new streaming series “Rabbit Hole,” Requa and Ficarra spoke about projects they’ve been attached to over the years, including the McMahon project.

Ficarra revealed that “Pandemonium” is dead. Requa stated, “Vince killed it.”

“We have never in our career had the studio, we had an actor, everybody was just like, ‘Let’s make this movie,’ and Vince said, ‘We’re not making it,'” explains Requa. “Pandemonium” was only going to be made with the involvement and approval of WWE Studios, so even before McMahon counted out the project, we likely would have never gotten a truly authentic look at just how insidious McMahon has been for over 40 years. Compare the WWE-approved Ric Flair docuseries “Woooo! Becoming Ric Flair” to the Vice “Dark Side of the Ring” episode on “The Plane Ride from Hell” and you’ll see what I mean. It’s a shame the film isn’t going to happen, but the duo knows that they’re not alone. So, yeah, we are on a very long list of people who got f***ed over by Vince.”

When McMahon returned to WWE in January, he announced he was exploring the possibility of a company sale. Although we won’t get a McMahon biopic, McMahon’s Netflix docuseries is still in development.
