Japanese wrestling is hard-hitting, but a spot didn’t go according to plan in a B block match for Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament.
Katsuhiko Nakajima went one-on-one with Kinya Okada in the bout, which the referee stopped after Nakajima connected with a kick directly to the face of Okada. It appears the kick knocked out Okada.
Okada was stretchered away from the ring. NOAH provided an update following the event as they mentioned Okada will be out of action after suffering a fractured jawbone.
Originally, Okada wasn’t even supposed to work the tournament as he filled in for Timothy Thatcher, who had visa issues.
Looks like Okada was expecting PK to the chest, instead Nakajima annihilated him with kick straight to the face. Ridiculous. https://t.co/yDU4VHVl9h pic.twitter.com/dfR2qBtWwU
