Tonight on WWE Raw, Dominik Mysterio noted that Rhea Ripley is injured and that’s why she was not with him tonight. That led to many fans asking questions on social media about her status.
Ripley was not on Raw because he is selling the attack from Nia Jax last week. She was seen with Buddy Matthews over the weekend at the Carlton FC game in Australia.
Reddi insider kermit125 also confirmed that it’s just a storyline injury and she’s expected back on TV in a couple of weeks. Presumably, when she returns, they will set up the Ripley vs. Jax match.
Ripley was also not at the live events so this appears to be planned time off for her, which wrestlers are getting more of these days (see: Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair, for example).
UPDATE: Tomorrow, WWE will announce that they will run a major event at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia. This would be WWE’s show in Australia in four years. It makes sense for Ripley to be there to do local media interviews.
