Brock Lesnar battled Cody Rhodes at the WWE Backlash premium live event from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Rhodes hit an outside dive to blindside Lesnar during his entrance. Lesnar took Rhodes to Suplex City. Lesnar had some nasty wounds on his back due to the pre-match attack. Lesnar targeted the ribs of Rhodes throughout due to a storyline rib injury. Lesnar exposed a turnbuckle. Rhodes tripped him into the exposed turnbuckle and hit a cutter. Lesnar was busted open. Rhodes with another cutter then two cross Rhodes for 2. Lesnar with an F5 as a counter to the cross Rhodes for 2. Brock with a kimura lock, but Rhodes pinned him while in the submission.
