WWE is on course for a sell-out when it hosts the next premium live event on the docket for them, Backlash, following the big success of WrestleMania XL earlier this month.
WWE presents the Backlash France premium live event on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France. The pre-show starts at 12 pm ET, while the main card starts at 1 pm ET.
WWE has started announcing the show matches, such as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles as the headliner.
The other matches are WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso, WWE Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton, The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga vs. Kevin Owens & Randy Orton, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Kairi Sane vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill.
WrestleTix, which does a great job of tracking ticket sales for all pro wrestling events, noted two days ago that Backlash had sold 12,621 tickets with 256 left for a setup of 12,977. For the SmackDown the night before, they sold 12,341 tickets with 636 left.
