This week’s episode of WWE NXT 2.0 was the go-home show for this Sunday’s NXT Worlds Collide event.
There has been tension within The Diamond Mine for a few months now. This week’s show saw Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) defeat The Diamond Mine (Damon Kemp, NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers) in six-man action.
Strong came out to ringside towards the end of the match, which distracted Kemp and Kemp knocked the phone out of Strong’s hand. Coffey pinned Kemp for the win.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “there was to be a Roderick Strong angle with Diamond Mine on this week’s show, but because Strong has an injury, they delayed it”
The Creed Brothers will defend their NXT Tag Team Championships in a four-way unification bout against Pretty Deadly, Gallus, and NXT UK Tag Team Championships Briggs and Jensen at this Sunday’s Worlds Collide.
We wish Strong the best in his recovery.
