If you were paying close attention to the opening segment on WWE Monday Night Raw, then you may have noticed a subtle tease for a heel turn that is expected at some point in the next few weeks or months.
WRKD Wrestling first reported several weeks ago that there were plans for Trish Stratus to turn heel and eventually wrestle Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that that he had also heard those rumors but the only thing he could confirm was that there were “twists and turns” coming in this storyline.
Tonight on Raw, The Miz asked how it feels to play second fiddle to Becky Lynch. Lita responded but Trish did not say anything. That is the first hint and if all goes according to plan, it looks like we’ll see a heel Trish soon. Both women have wanted to work together for a long time. At this point, we don’t know if Lita will be involved in the feud.
It’s possible that the heel turn will happen at WrestleMania but with SummerSlam happening in August, they can still stretch things out for a while. Click here for complete WWE Monday Night Raw results.
