WWE Files Trademark for Chelsea Green’s Ring Name

WWE filed for Chelsea Green’s ring name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on June 12.

The trademark is listed for entertainment services such as wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer. The full description reads as follows:

“Mark For: CHELSEA GREEN™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

Green, real name Chelsea Cardona, had a disappointing first run with WWE due to injuries before she was let go in April 2021. Green decided to revamp her career and went on to find success in Impact Wrestling and ROH.

She returned to WWE this past January by appearing in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match, where she was eliminated in five seconds. She has since been portraying a “Karen” gimmick.
