Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, which is emanating from The Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. Announced for tonight’s show, The Usos will defend their Undisputed WWE tag team championships against Butch and Ridge Holland, Braun Strowman will take on Otis, and Roman Reigns will make his return to Friday Night Smackdown.
– Roman Reigns makes his entrance with The Bloodline and Paul Heyman, Paul Heyman says that the WWE throne belongs to Roman Reigns, Heyman says that Sikoa was sent from the elders of the Samoan dynasty, Heyman says The Bloodline has an enforcer to ensure that Roman stays on the throne and that man is Solo Sikoa, Jimmy and Jey then hype themselves up, Roman tells Sikoa that he works for him now and to acknowledge him, Sikoa then acknowledges Roman, they then hug, Sami thanks the Bloodline for taking him in, Zayn says that he publicly wants to acknowledge the tribal chief, Roman asks Sami why he’s even talking right now, Roman asks Sami why does he have the shirt on, Jey then rips Zayn’s shirt off, Roman tells Sami to never wear that shirt ever again, Roman then throws a new Uce shirt, Zayn then says that he acknowledges Reigns before giving him a hug.
Match 1: Liv Morgan vs Lacey Evans
– The match starts off with Lacey landing a right hand on a downed Liv, followed by a big boot to the stomach of Liv, Lacey then sends Liv face first into the ringpost as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Lacey lock Liv in a headlock, Lacey then pulls out a kendo stick, Lacey attempts to use it but Liv hits her with a codebreaker instead, followed by the oblivion to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Liv Morgan at 8:36.
– After the match, Liv beats down Lacey with a kendostick, Liv then hits a russian legsweep on Lacey against the barricade with a kendostick, Liv then hits a senton onto Lacey through a table on the outside.
– Madcap Moss and Ricochet attempt to bully Sami Zayn near the parking lot but Solo Sikoa makes the save, Sikoa slams Ricochet’s head into the garage door, Sikoa then lands a series of punches on Madcap.
Match 2: The New Day vs Maximum Male Models
– The match starts off with Man.soor and Xavier, Ma.ce then hits a sidekick to the face of Xavier to secure a nearfall, Xavier then rolls up Man.soor to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: The New Day at 2:28.
– After the match, Max Durpi walks out on Maximum Male Models.
Match 3: Braun Strowman vs Otis
– The match starts off with both men locking up, Braun then throws Otis from the corner, followed by a dropkick, knocking Otis to the outside, Otis then sends Braun into the ringpost, Otis then hits a lariat on Braun, Braun then hits a spinebuster on Otis, Braun then hits a double shouldertackle on Otis and Gable on the outside, Braun then launches Gable into the timekeeper’s area, Otis then hits a powerslam on Braun, Braun then hits a powerbomb on Otis to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Braun Strowman at 5:28.
– Drew McIntyre makes his entrance, Drew says that he doesn’t like playing games but instead figuring things out in the ring, Drew announces that it will be him vs Karrion Kross at Extreme Rules in a strap match, Scarlett then appears on the ramp, Kross then attempts to attack Drew from behind, both men then exchange a series of blows, Drew then sends Kross shoulder first into the ring post, Drew then straps himself and Karrion in, Drew then lands a big boot to the face of Kross, Drew then hits Kross in the back with the strap, Kross then tries to leave but Drew stops him with the strap, Drew then attempts to hit Kross again but Scarlett gets in the way, Scarlett then sprays something in Drew’s face, Scarlett then hits Drew with a lowblow, Kross then locks in the Krossjacket on Drew, causing Drew to pass out.
Match 4: Dakota Kai vs Raquel Rodriguez
– The match starts off with Raquel slamming Kai into the corner, followed by a snakeyes, Kai then hits a running bigboot to the face of Raquel in the corner, Shotzi then comes out to take down Bayley and Sky with punches, Raquel then rolls up Dakota to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Raquel Rodriguez at 1:20.
– After the match, Shotzi is sent into the barricade by Bayley and Sky, Damage CTRL then attempts to jump Raquel but Shotzi makes the save, sending Damage CTRL to the outside.
Match 5: Undisputed WWE tag team championships: The Usos (c) vs Ridge Holland and Butch
-The match starts off Butch landing a series of punches on Jey, Jimmy then lands a series of chops to the chest of Ridge, Butch then knocks Jimmy off the apron, The Usos then hit a doubleteam powerslam on Butch as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Jimmy hit an enziguri on Butch to secure a nearfall, Butch then hits an enziguri on Jey, Ridge then hits a tilt-a-whirl slam on Jimmy to secure a nearfall, Butch then hits a german suplex on Jey, The Usos then land double superkicks on Ridge and Butch, Holland then slams both Usos at the same time, Imperium then attacks Sheamus, Gunther hits a big boot to the face of Sheamus, The Usos then gits a doubleteam superkick on Holland, The Usos then hit the 1D on Butch to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall and STILL WWE Undisputed tag team champions: The Usos at 14:14.
