Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, which is emanating from The Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Announced for tonight’s show, The Viking Raiders will host a “Viking funeral” for The New Day, Sheamus, Happy Corbin, Ricochet, Madcap Moss, and Sami Zayn will compete in a 5-way match to determine the next challenger to Gunther’s Intercontinental championship, Natalya and Sonya Deville will team up to take on Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne in a first round women’s tag team championship match, and The WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns will come face-to-face with his next challenger, Drew McIntyre.
– The show starts off with Ronda Rousey coming through the crowd, Ronda says that she’s not leaving until she’s reinstated, Ronda then calls out Adam Pearce, Pearce then comes out with four security guards, Ronda tells Pearce to not make her choose violence, Ronda then makes short work of the four security guards, locking one of them in an armbar, Ronda Rousey is then arrested and escorted out of the building.
Match 1: Natalya and Sonya Deville vs Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne
– Before the match, we see Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky arrive to watch the next match from the crowd.
– The match starts off with Natalya and Gigi, Sonya then locks Gigi in a headlock, Sonya then hits a spear on Gigi, Jayne then knees Sonya in the face from the apron, Jayne then sends Sonya into the ringpost, followed by a running cannonball off the apron, Gigi and Jacy then send Natalya into the steel steps as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Gigi send Sonya, into the corner, Jayne then hits a cannonball on Sonya in the corner to secure a nearfall, Natalya then hits a leg russian legsweep on Jayne, Natalya then hits a german suplex on Jayne, Jayne then sends Sonya into the barricade in front of Bayley, Jayne then hits a kick on Sonya, Jayne then rolls up Natalya to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin at 9:56.
– Sami Zayn enters Roman Reigns’ office, Zayn blames Jey for yelling at him and putting pressure on him, Roman says that Jey doesn’t appreciate anything, Roman tells Zayn that the IC title would look great in The Bloodline, Roman asks Zayn if he’s still cool with Kevin Owens, Roman tells Sami that he doesn’t owe Kevin anything.
– Maximum Male Models are in the ring, Hit Row then interrupts, Hit Row then throws Maximum Male Models outside the ring, Hit Row then perform a rap song.
Match 2: Fatal 5-Way match: Sheamus vs Madcap Moss vs Happy Corbin vs Ricochet vs Sami Zayn
– The match starts off with Madcap sending Sheamus to the outside with a closeline, Zayn then locks Ricochet in a headlock, Ricochet then hits a headlock on Sami, Corbin then hits a chokeslam on Ricochet as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Sheamus send Ricochet back first into the barricade, Corbin then sends Ricochet into the corner with a strong Irishwhip, Corbin then sends Madcap into the corner with a strong Irishwhip, followed by one for Ricochet, Corbin then knocks Sami off the apron, Ricochet then hits a springboard crossbody on Madcap, Ricochet then hits a tornado DDT on Corbin, followed by a standing shooting star press to secure a nearfall, Sheamus then hits a backbreaker on Sami, Sheamus then lands ten punches on the chest of Madcap and Corbin, Sheamus then hits seventeen punches to the chest of Ricochet, Zayn then hits a dive over the top rope taking out Corbin and Sheamus, Zayn then hits a michinoku driver on Ricochet to secure a nearfall, Zayn then hits the blue thunder.bomb on Madcap to secure a nearfall, Sheamus then hits a white noise from the second rope on Sami, Corbin then hits the deep six on Sheamus, Zayn is carried out as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Madcap hits a fallaway slam on Sheamus from the second rope, Corbin then hits a bigboot on Ricochet, Sheamus and Corbin then exchange a series of punches in the ring, Ricochet then hits a shooting star press from the top rope onto Sheamus, Sami is then able to return to the ring, Sami then hits an exploder suplex on Ricochet in the corner, followed by the helluva kick, Sami then goes for the pin but Corbin pulls Sami to the outside, Sheamus then hits the brogue on Corbin to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Sheamus at 22:25.
– We see footage from earlier in the day of The Viking Raiders hosting a funeral for The New Day in an unknown location.
Match 3: Shotzi vs Liv Morgan
– The Match starts off with both women exchanging a series of punches, Liv then hits a running jumping knee to the face of Shotzi in the corner, Liv then hits a dropkick to Shotzi from the second rope, Shotzi then hits a DDT on Liv on the apron as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Liv hit a crucifix bomb on Shotzi, Liv then hits a codebreaker on Shotzi, followed by the oblivion to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Liv Morgan at 6:06.
– After the match, Shayna Baszler attacks Liv from behind, Shayna then threatens to break Liv’s arm but Shayna wants her 100%, for Clash At The Castle.
– Roman Reigns makes his entrance, Roman tells Montreal to acknowledge him, Roman says he isn’t here every week so some people are going to come out and say some stupid stuff, Roman says that he carries the company on his back, Roman says that Drew is beneath him, Drew then interrupts, Drew says that he Roman isn’t representing the titles the way they should be and he doesn’t deserve them, Drew says that he sees concern in Roman’s eyes, both men then exchange a series of punches, Drew then hits a throw on Roman, Drew then goes for the claymore kick on Roman but Sami takes the claymore instead, Roman then hits a superman punch on Drew, Drew then hits a claymore on Reigns.
– Smackdown ends with Drew McIntyre standing tall.
