Welcome to our live coverage of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, which is emanating from The Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Announced for tonight’s show, The New Day, Imperium, Hit Row, and The Brawling Brutes will compete in a fatal 4 way match to determine the new number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE tag team championships, Raquel Rodriguez will take on Bayley, Sami Zayn will take on Ricochet, and Logan Paul will make his return to WWE.
– Logan Paul makes his entrance, Logan says that he has a habit of opening his mouth and saying stupid stuff, Logan says that he opened his mouth about Floyd Mayweather and he couldn’t keep him down, Paul then invites Roman to a press conference tomorrow, Paul Heyman then interrupts with The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn, Heyman then shakes Logan’s hand, Heyman says that Logan could be a Paul Heyman guy, Heyman says that Logan never went down against Mayweather, Heyman mentions that Anderson Silva will knock out Jake Paul, Heyman says that Logan shouldn’t open his mouth about Roman Reigns, Heyman tells Logan to pick a fight with someone else, Logan says that it’s a just a press conference, Logan says that he could land one lucky shot on Roman Reigns to drop him, Heyman says that he doesn’t like Logan, Logan wants to bet that he can knock out Heyman before Sikoa gets to him, Zayn tells Heyman and Sikoa to leave, Logan then punches Zayn in the face, The Usos and Solo Sikoa then make the save, causing Logan Paul to retreat as Sami Zayn makes his entrance.
Match 1: Sami Zayn vs Ricochet
– The match starts off with both men locking up, Zayn the trips Ricochet on the top rope, causing Ricochet to crash stomach first into the top rope, Ricochet then hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissiors on Zayn, Ricochet then gets pushed off the top rope unto the barricade as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Ricochet catch Zayn in mid-air with a dropkick, Ricochet then hits a superkick to the face of Sami, Jimmy then distracts Ricochet, Sami then hits a blue thunder bomb to secure a nearfall after Logan distracted the referee, Sami and Jey then argue on the outside but Jimmy calms them down, Ricochet then takes out Zaym and the Usos with a dive to the outside, Ricochet then hits a top rope shooting star press on Zayn to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Ricochet at 13:02.
– After the match, Madcap Moss then comes out with a steel chair, causing The Bloodline to retreat.
– Karrion Kross says that Drew McIntyre was publicly executed last week, Kross goes over the sounds that Drew made as he was being choked out, Kross says that he changes timeslines, Kross says that he will make sure Drew never gets out.
– Max and Maxxine Dupri are in the ring, Dupri says that they are close to L.A., The Maximum Male Models then show off the back to school collection, Braun Strowman then runs through Maximum Male Models, Braun then throws Ma.ce into the barricade, Braun then hits an uppercut on Man.soor, Braun then powerbombs Man.soor, Chad Gable then interrupts, Otis then attacks Braun from behind, Braun then closelines Otis, Otis then lands a series of punches on Braun in the corner, Otis then hits a world’s strongest slam on Braun, Braun then sits up, Otis wants to fight Braun but Gable holds him back.
– Damage CTRL makes their entrance, Bayley says that the role model is back on Smackdown, Kai says that they can go on any brand at anytime, Sky says that Smackdown is their show now, Bayley says that they have power to determine the future of Raw and Smackdown, Raquel Rodriguez then interrupts, Raquel says that she doesn’t see greatness at all, Raquel calls Damage CTRL bullies and she will get her revenge for Aliyah.
Match 2: Raquel Rodriguez vs Bayley
– The match starts off with both women locking up, Raquel then knocks Kai into Sky, Raquel then goes to the top but Sky and Kai distract her, Bayley then takes out Raquel’s knee in the corner, Raquel then hits two fallaway slams on Bayley, Raquel then knocks Sky off the apron, Raquel then slams Kai into Bayley, Raquel then hits a corkscrew elbow from the second rope onto both Kai and Bayley, Bayley then hits the rose plant on Raquel to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Bayley at 6:22.
– After the match, Sky and Kai beat down Raquel, Shotzi then makes the save, causing Damage CTRL to retreat.
– Kayla Braxton interviews Ronda Rousey, Ronda says that there won’t be any controversy this time, Liv then replaces Kayla, Liv says that she’s never met someone who says words that mean nothing, Liv says that she’s the only one to beat Ronda twice, Liv says that nothing she says will make Ronda respect her, Liv challenges Ronda to an extreme Rules match, Ronda says that it’s Liv’s funeral.
– Drew McIntyre then appears on top of the announce table, Drew says that if Kross isn’t jumping him from behind, he doesn’t have the balls to face him like a man, Drew says that time if running out for Kross.
Match 3: North American championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs Madcap Moss
– The match starts off with both men locking up, Moss then closelines Sikoa to the outside, Moss the slams Sikoa face first onto the announce table, Zayn then distracts Moss, allowing Sikoa to hit a closeline on the outside, Sikoa then throws Madcap into the barricade, Moss then hits a sideslam on Sikoa to secure a nearfall, Sikoa then hits a Samoan drop on Madcap to secure a nearfall, Moss then runs at Sikoa but Sami pulls Sikoa to the outside, Moss then chases Zayn but Sikoa catches Moss with a superkick, followed by a sideslam to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall and STILL North American champion: Solo Sikoa at 10:50.
Match 4: Hit Row vs The New Day vs Imperium vs The Brawling Brutes
– The match starts off with Butch and Kaiser exchanging a series of punches, Top Dolla then throws Ashante into everyone on the outside as Sheamus and Gunther stare each other down, Kofi then jumps off of Top Dolla’s back into Imperium on the outside as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Kaiser send Butch into the middle rope, Top Dolla then suplexes Holland, Dolla then slams Ashante into Holland, Vinci and Kaiser then hit a doubleteam dropkick on Kofi into the ringpost as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Kaiser land an elbow to the back of Kofi’s head, Xavier then hits a death valley driver on Vinci to secure a nearfall, Top Dolla then takes down Butch with a bigboot, Top Dolla then carries Xavier, Kofi, and Butch all at once before landing a powerslam, Ridge then hits an Alabama slam on Top Dolla to secure a nearfall, Ridge then steals the pin from Ludwig to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: Ridge Holland and Butch at 18:46.
