Jacy Jayne, Mandy Rose, and Gigi Dolin made up the Toxic Attraction group in WWE NXT, which had been strongly pushed for over the last year. Rose had been the Women’s Champion for over 400 days, while Jayne and Dolin were a dominant tag team with multiple NXT Women’s Tag Team Title reigns.
WWE released Rose earlier this month because of the adult content she was posting.
While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Toxic Attraction’s promo on Tuesday’s NXT was discussed. The tag team said the group never had a leader and never mentioned Rose. Meltzer noted that WWE did have plans at one point to call up Jayne and Dolin as a tag team without Rose.
“It’s what they have to do. They have to get past it. The plan was to call them up to the main roster without her anyway.”
In August, Dolin and Jayne replaced Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark in the Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament on the main roster, where they advanced after picking up a victory only to be pulled from it. They were sent back to NXT.
