More signs of WWE distancing themselves from Brock Lesnar are showing at a time when he has been removed from their creative plans.
WWE nixed plans involving Lesnar following the sex trafficking lawsuit that was filed against Vince McMahon and WWE, with a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion being named in the filing and the Wall Street Journal identified Lesnar as that former champion
Nixing of plans
WWE replaced him with Bron Breakker in the Men’s Rumble Match, a bout that was originally designed for him to be eliminated by Dominik Mysterio and would’ve led to them wrestling each other at the Elimination Chamber.
He was also slated to work with WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther at WrestleMania 40, but those plans have been nixed. Lesnar has also been pulled from the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game.
Sale
As you can see below, WWEShop.com has placed 99% of Lesnar’s merchandise on discount. This comes after Pwinsider reported Lesnar will be downplayed and potentially removed from WWE licensee content from now on.
The media outlet noted they were told by sources that going forward, Lesnar is “off the table” from all creative pitches.
