WWE Higher-Up Says Hulk Hogan Is Lying About Recent WrestleMania 39 Claim

Hulk Hogan has been known for telling tall tales and perhaps, some of the stories he’s told so much over the years that he believes them but the latest one apparently has people in WWE scratching their heads.

Earlier today, Chris Van Vliet dropped an interview with Hulk Hogan. One of the things Hogan claimed was that there were talks about his son Nick Hogan being a surrogate for him in a match at WrestleMania 39. Hogan explained the idea was pitched because he can no longer take bumps due to his back issues. Hogan said that the talks happened after Shane McMahon approached him about a match and Hogan even suggested that perhaps Nick could turn heel.

The story that Hogan told, per a WWE source, is not true and Nick Hogan was never considered for a match at WrestleMania. Fightful Select quoted a higher-up saying that “there has never been a serious conversation about [Nick] being involved in anything.” The source added, “Even when Hulk would mention him being involved in things, there just wasn’t an interest or a benefit to that.”
