WWE fans should expect WWE to move forward with more international events and shows being held in cities that are willing to pay for them. So far this year, they’ve held Backlash in Puerto, Money in the Bank in the UK, and will make at least one more international stop this year.
Crown Jewel goes down on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from Saudi Arabia. Three weeks later, for Survivor Series in Chicago, IL, at the United Center. The Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40 locations have already been confirmed in the US.
WWE previously announced they would be hosting next year’s Elimination Chamber in February from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, and the WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.
As previously reported, Cleveland, Ohio, is in the running to potentially see WWE Summerslam 2024 be held there. WWE Backlash is internally listed for Paris, France in the Spring of 2024.
Just like they’ve done with past shows, WWE got paid big money for its Royal Rumble PLE to take at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 27.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is in talks with various city governments to host SummerSlam.
Meltzer wrote, “We were told regarding that show that WWE is in negotiations with a lot of different city governments around the world to get significant money for PPV events going forward with Paris being one of those cities.”
