WWE Looking to Make a Change to Premium Live Events After Merger With UFC

WWE and the UFC have officially merged into the TKO Group Holdings company following Endeavor’s acquisition of WWE, with Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, and Triple H staying on board with the company.

There has been speculation about what these changes will be made to WWE.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted WWE is looking to have cities bid on all of their premium live events, not just the big events. In recent years, WWE has had cities bid on their other big events aside from WrestleMania, including Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and Money in the Bank.

“We’ll be seeing a lot more of WWE trying to get cities to bid for at least the big shows. The goal is for all 12 pay-per-view shows. Right now, I think the goal is four or five for next year, and maybe more as time goes on and as UFC is doing as well. They just went to Sydney. It was a 16 million dollar deal to get three shows.”
