WWE may have a surprise planned for WrestleMania match

WWE is less than a week away from the first night of WrestleMania 39 and one of the big matches featured on the lineup is Edge battling Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match.

Which night the match will take place is still unclear, but WWE has planted an easter egg that could lead to more than what most fans think will happen.

There have been hints of Balor bringing back his Demon gimmick with Edge going as far as calling out Balor to portray his alter ego in a recent promo segment.

Pwinsider Elite reports that WWE is bringing in former star Gangrel, who has ties with Edge and Christian from their days in The Brood during the Attitude Era. The group is most remembered for their iconic entrance of coming up through the stage that had a ring of fire.

It was not confirmed that Gangrel will be appearing at WrestleMania, but it’s possible that he will have a role in the match whether that be part of a Brood entrance with Edge or perhaps trying to even the odds with Damian Priest at ringside.

Although the original purpose of cage matches was intended to prevent outside interference and keep competitors kept in the ring, those days are long gone as seen in past matches so WWE could book a way for there to be interference from the heel group.
