WWE May Not Be Able To Get Sylvester Stallone For WrestleMania

WWE may not be able to cash in on its idea of bringing in Sylvester Stallone for something special at WrestleMania 40.

Connection

Stallone has ties to wrestling, most notably Hulk Hogan, as Hogan was part of Rocky III as Thunderlips, and the movie legend inducted Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005. Stallone is also fond of Philadelphia, as the Rocky franchise is tied to the city that is hosting WrestleMania 40 in April.

WrestleVotes first reported WWE has an interest in working with Stallone at the event, although details about what he would do were not mentioned.

Latest

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that things are not looking likely for the appearance to happen.

Meltzer wrote, “Those at WWE have confirmed the talk but said that as of earlier in the week Stallone had said there was a schedule conflict so the deal hasn’t been done unless you can or wants to remove the conflict.”
