Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles for the Vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship took place at the WWE Night of Champions premium live event from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
There were some mind games in the early going. Seth missed the stomp and he caught him with a forearm in the back. Styles fought back and hit a suplex in the corner. Rollins hit a frog splash to Styles for 2. Styles avoided several moves including the pedigree before kicking Rollins in the head. Styles went for the Styles Clash off the second rope and Rollins countered out of it. They fought on the top rope before Rollins hit an inverted superplex then a powerslam for 2. Rollins missed a dive off the top rope and Styles went for a DDT off the middle rope, but ate a headbutt for his troubles. Styles with a brain buster to Rollins on the apron. Rollins pushed Styles off the apron then connected with an outside dive then sold his left knee after landing. They traded head kicks with Rollins getting the better of the exchange then went for the pedigree only for AJ to counter. AJ with the pedigree for 2. Styles went for the phenomenal forearm only to eat a superkick. Rollins went for the stomp, but fell down due to the knee. Rollins hit the pedigree then the stomp for the win.
