Lacey Evans’ character has undergone several changes since her WWE main roster debut a few years ago, including heel and babyface turns.
Evans made her return to WWE television in early 2022 after being on hiatus due to pregnancy, although she hasn’t been used often as WWE has gone back and forth with the direction of her character.
WWE ended up nixing a segment featuring Evans on SmackDown last week. WWE has been airing vignettes for her over the last few weeks, and it looked like she was going back to her roots as a marine.
Fightful Select reports that Evans was originally supposed to appear on last week’s episode of SmackDown by WWE airing yet another vignette for her, but WWE decided to pull the segment. It’s unclear why the segment was nixed, but it’s likely due to time constraints.
