The NBCUniversal Upfronts took place today at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
According to those who were there, a video package aired as expected to promote all of the programming they have available on Peacock. WWE was included in the video package but aside from that, they did not have a presence at the Upfronts like in previous years.
PWInsider reports that there was no mention of WWE programming and there were no appearances from any WWE personalities.
That is interesting and something to watch as WWE’s TV deal is set to come up in 2024. There is an exclusivity window for WWE and NBCU to negotiate but once that time expires, WWE can negotiate with other media companies.
Time Warner’s Upfronts are scheduled for Wednesday and AEW is expected to have a presence there with the expected announcement about a new TV deal and the new Saturday night weekly show.
