Steel Cage Match: 
The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius) vs The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) (w/ Joe Gacy & Ava)

The Schism attacked Brutus Creed before he could get in the cage and took him to the back. He returned later in the match and tore off the cage door to get in. Julius got Reid and Fowler up on each shoulder and Brutus came off the top rope with a Brutus Bomb and the Creeds pinned The Dyad to get reinstated back in NXT.

In a pre-taped interview, Roxanne Perez said she is the prodigy and will win the Fatal 4-Way Match tonight.

The format for the NXT Global Heritage Cup Invitation was explained. There will be two groups of wrestlers that will compete in round robin tournaments. Group A will have Butch, Charlie Dempsey, Charlie Dempsey, and Axiom. Group B will have Nathan Frazier, Joe Coffey, Akira Tozawa, and Duke Hudson. The winner of each match gets 2 points and the winner gets 0 points. Each match has a 12 minute time limit. In the event of a draw, each contestant will get 1 point. The winner of Group A and Group B will face off on the tournament final on September 26th. The winner of that match will earn a NXT Heritage Cup Match at NXT No Mercy on Saturday September 30th. 

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo, and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo were talking when The Street Profits showed up. Tony and Stacks said they know The Street Profits used to run the streets here in NXT. At that point, a fight broke out with four of the women.

Global Heritage Invitational Group A Match
Charlie Dempsey (w/ Drew Gulak & Damon Kemp) vs Butch

Butch went to the top rope. Dempsey caught Butch and threw him off the top rope, but Butch landed on his feet. Butch hit Dempsey with the Bitter End and pinned him. 
===Winner and getting 2 points: Butch

Backstage, Mustafa Ali told Dragon Lee that he is the one who deserves an opportunity at Dominik Mysterio’s NXT North American Championship. He said Lee got his shot and struck out and now it’s his time.

Ilja Dragunov said he was impressed with Trick Williams performance against him and he deserves everybody’s respect, but now he’s on his way to the NXT Championship. Meta-Four interrupted him. Oro Mensah and Dragunov slugged it out in the ring until Mensah slid out of the ring.

Backstage, Von Wagner said he has been blindsided by Bron Breakker twice because he tabled his ass. He challenged Breakker to a No Disqualification Match for next week.

Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice vs Dana Brooke & Kelani Jordan 

Lopez hit Jordan and tagged in Vice. Lopez picked up Jordan and Vice gave her a roundhouse kick to pin her.

In a pre-taped interview, Gigi Dolin said she is going to win the Fatal 4-Way Match tonight.

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes told Trick Williams said he can’t get it out of his head that some people are saying the only reason why he beat Ilja Dragunov at Great American Bash was because he had his help. Williams told Hayes that’s crazy talk and he needs to cut out all the noise and stay focused. Hayes said there is only one way to find out. He told Williams that you know I can beat Dragunov and Williams said, I think so. Hayes asked him why he said it like that. Williams said what happened at Great American Bash was not his fault. Hayes asked him again and Williams said he knows he can beat Dragunov.

Dijak vs Eddy Thorpe

Dijak swung a steel chair at Thorpe but Thorpe moved out of he way and kicked him in the back of the head which sent Dijak our of the ring. The referee turned around to get rid of the chair. Thorpe went to dive through the ropes onto Dijak, but Dijak hit him with a belt that he wrapped around his fist. Dijak kicked Thorpe in the face and pinned him.

In a pre-taped interview, Kiana James said she is going to win the Fatal 4-Way Match tonight.

Backstage, Bron Breakker told Baron Corbin that he should be thanking him for saving him last week. Corbin said he didn’t need to be saved. Breakker said he’s going to put an end to Von Wagner and told Corbin not to get involved. Corbin said he doesn’t care about either one of them. Breakker said that’s good because if he gets involved, it’s the end of days for him. Corbin told him not to get put through a table.

Angel and Humberto told each other they both woke up with scratch marks on themselves after dreaming of their grandfather. They took it as a sign that they need to go back from scratch and become the best they can be in honor of him.

They aired a Bray Wyatt video tribute

In a pre-taped interview, Blair Davenport said she will win the Fatal 4-Way match tonight.

Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley appeared on Instagram. Ripley Dominik will hold the NXT North American Championship until he retires and she is going to make sure of it. Dominik said Dragon Lee and Mustafa Ali can fight each other with him as the special guest referee and then he will fight the winner at No Mercy. 

Global Heritage Invitational Group B Match
Joe Coffee vs Nathan Frazier

Coffee went for an overhead suplex off the top rope, but Frazier landed on his feet. Frazier gave Coffee a superkick. Frazier missed a Phoenix Splash and Coffee pinned him.
===Winner and getting 2 points: Joe Coffee 

In a pre-taped segment, Thea Hail was not in class at Chase U. Andre Chase said he is confident Duke Hudson will win the Global Heritage Invitational Tournament and go on to win the Heritage Cup. After class was over, Thea Hail walked in. Hail said she is not going to study hall with Duke Hudson because she has plans to go out. Jacy Jayne showed up and asked Hail if she is  ready to go. Hail said yes and left with her.

Fallon Henley asked Miles Born if he would like to team with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jenson against Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, and Damon Kemp on NXT. Born agreed and thanked her.

Wes Lee appeared on Instagram thanking the fans for their support. Heatwave did not go as planned. He said Carmelo Hayes did not beat him, he beat himself when he hit the barricade. He is going to fight for another opportunity and the outcome will be different.

Backstage, Tyler Bate said he will be waiting next week in the middle of the ring for Dabba-Kato 

Number 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match:
Gigi Dolin vs Roxanne Perez vs Blair Davenport vs Kiana James

Davenport came off the top rope with a Curb Stomp on Perez. Perez gave Davenport Pop Rocks which sent Davenport under the ring. Dolin went for the Gigi Driver on Perez, but Perez blocked it and kicked her in the stomach. James hit Perez from behind with a bulldog headlock. James gave Dolin a Codebreaker and pinned her.
===Winner: Kiana James

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes was looking at Wes Lee’s interview from earlier in the show on his phone. He barged into Shawn Michaels’ office and said we need to talk to end the show.
