Tonight on NXT

The show opened with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley in the ring. Wes Lee interrupted them and said he wants his rematch with Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship tonight. Mustafa Ali came out and said he respects Lee but not Dominik. Ali told Dominik that it was going to be him that defeated Wes Lee for the championship, but that clown dropped the ball. Ali then realized he called Lee a clown and told him he didn’t mean it, but is angry and frustrated. He warned Lee not to take the match, but he was too stupid to listen. Dominik told them it sounds like this is a Lee-Ali problem and not a problem of his. He doesn’t care who he faces at the Bash. He pushed Lee out of the way to leave the ring. Ali went to hit him, Dominik moved out of the way, and Ali ended up hitting Lee. Lee tacked Ali and they went at it. They stopped fighting when they looked up to see Dominik and Ripley smiling as they were fighting.
Backstage, Tony D’Angelo and Stacks said they are going to reclaim the streets of NXT when they win the tag team titles at the Great American Bash. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price interrupted them and asked them what streets they come from because they’ve never heard of them.
In an interview from last night, Lyra Valkyria told Rhea Ripley she doesn’t want to prove herself to Ripley by fighting Jacy Jayne. She wants to show here what she can do one on one on NXT. Ripley agreed to the match.
Backstage, Valkyria said she needs to know where she stands. She has been watching Ripley since NXT UK and now she is the measuring stick of the WWE and tonight she is going to show the world who Valkyria is.
Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and Ilja Dragunov vs The Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, and Rip Fowler) (w/ Ava)
Two guys in a mask tripped up Reid and Fowler off the ring apron. Gacy missed a dive off the top rope on Dragunov. As Dragunov was getting ready to finish off Gacy, Hayes tagged himself in and dropped a flying leg to the back of Gacy’s neck and pinned him. Williams and Dragunov argued after the match with Hayes holding Williams back.

The teased footage that occurred last night where Roxanne Perez attacked Blair Davenport that they will be showing later tonight.
In a pre-taped interview, Tiffany Stratton said she is the epitome of what a woman’s champion is. She runs faster, jumps higher, lifts heavier, and looks way hotter than everybody else. At Great American, she will defeat Thea Hail and remain the champion
Von Wagner (w/ Mr. Stone) vs Javier Bernal
Wagner gave Bernal a side slam and pinned him. After the match, Wagner powerbombed Bernal through the announce desk. Bron Breakker then speared Wagner.

in the back, Carmelo Hayes told Ilja Dragunov good W. Dragunov said that they will meet Sunday for the championship. Williams came in and pushed Dragunov. Dragunov told Hayes to calm him down. He told Trick that if he comes at him like a man, he will break him. Hayes told Williams he will handle this at the Bash. Williams said it’s not about Hayes, it’s about him because Dragunov pissed him off. Hayes said they have to be professional. Williams said he’s going to call Dragunov out.
In the ring, Gable Steveson said next year, he can become America’s first ever two-time Olympic Gold medalist or he can go back to college and become a three-time NCAA Champion. Baron Corbin came out and told him to go back to college or enter the Olympics, but don’t come to NXT because if he does, he is going to fail. He told Steveson that he’s swimming with sharks and he is staring at a Great White and he smells blood. Steveson said he made his decision a lot easier and challenged him to a match at the Great American Bash. Steveson then suplexed Corbin twice and security held Corbin back from going back in the ring.
In the back, Dominik Mysterio asked Rhea Ripley if she thinks it’s a good idea for him to have the triple threat match at the Great American Bash. Ripley said it is. Dominik said yes, Mami is always right.
Kendo Stick Match
Dana Brooke (w/ Kelani Jordan) vs Cora Jade
Brooke put several kendo sticks on top of a chair and suplexed Jade on them. Brooke hit a senton bomb on Jade and pinned her.

In the back, Carmelo Hayes told Ilja Dragunov that he’s not happy about the headbutt and he’s getting ready to call him out. Dragunov told Hayes that you know what can happen. Hayes said it’s us and the title at Great American Bash and we don’t have to do all this. Dragunov said he admires their friendship, but he wants him to tell Trick that if he calls him out, he will answer and it won’t be a wrestling match. He will break Trick tonight and someday, he will break Hayes.
In a pre-tape, Charlie Dempsey and Drew Gulak were training a student. Gulak said these guys are not built for toughness. Damon Kemp said they are looking for someone with grit and he is looking for training partners that can push him so they are going to work together.
Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs Bronco Nima & Lucien Price
SCRYPTS joined the commentary team. Axiom attacked SCRYPTS. D’Angelo gave Price a spinebuster but Nima broke up the pin. Stacks threw Nima over the top rope. D’Angelo and Stacks gave Price the Badda Bing and pinned him.

After the match, Gallus appeared on the video wall and said they will defeat them at the Great American Bash.
In a pre-tape, Dijak said one win by Eddy Thorpe does not mean anything and he will hand out justice that Thorpe won’t be able to beat.
Footage was shown from last night when Blair Davenport went into a convenience store. Roxanne Perez followed her into the store and attacked her. They brawled throughout the store. As we heard the cops siren, Perez told Davenport she will finish this at the Great American Bash and then left the store.
In the ring, we had another edition of the Supernova Sessions. Noam Dar was still in a depressed state sitting in his wheelchair. Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend and Ora Mensa presented Dar with the Heritage Cup. Dar saw it, got excited, and got out of his wheelchair. Nathan Frazier and Dragon Lee came out. Frazier was holding the real Heritage Cup. Frazier and Lee said they can settle this now. Mensa said they are outnumbered. Frazier asked them why they would think they would have come alone. At that point, Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon attacked Jackson and Legend while Frazier and Lee went after Dar and Mensa.
Backstage, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson showed a video package of them training Thea Hail for her match coming up against Tiffany Stratton at the Great American Bash. Hail said she knows she will win and become the youngest Women’s Champion in history.
Footage was shown after Humberto and Angel lost their match. Humberto asked Angel are they chasing women or glory and told him he’s not doing this anymore.
Rhea Ripley (w/ Dominik Mysterio) vs Lyra Valkyria
Valkyria gave Ripley a splash from the top rope and a series of kicks. Valkyria caught her with a kick, hit her with the Riptide, and pinned her. After the match, Ripley told Valkyria to prove her right and beat Jacy Jayne

Trick Williams called out Ilja Dragunov. Dragunov came down to ringside and they brawled in and out of the ring. Dragunov knocked Williams out with two sledgehammer fistdrops. Dragunov propped Williams up in the corner and was getting ready to finish him off. As Dragunov charged at Williams, Carmelo Hayes jumped in the ring and Dragunov hit Williams. Dragunov told Hayes he is a man of honor and loyalty is very rare. He told Hayes to hang on to his friendship with Trick because after the Great American Bash, that is all he will have left after he takes his NXT Championship.
