– NXT North American Championship Match:
Wes Lee (Champion) vs Tyler Bate. Special Guest Referee Mustafa Ali
Early in the match, Ali counted quickly on a pin attempt on both Lee and Bate, and then made a slow count on Ali and Bate. Ali began counting normally on pin attempts afterwards. Lee and Bate were on the turnbuckles. They exchanged blows and Lee went over the top rope to the floor. Ali counted to five and then went outside the ring and lifted Lee up, slapped him, and told him to get back in the ring. Ali then tried to lift Bate up in the ring, but Bate fell back down. Lee gave Bate the Cardiac Kick and Ali made the three-count. Ali raised Lee and Bate’s hand and encouraged the crowd to cheer for both.
===Winner: Wes Lee
A video package aired of Gigi Dolin who said art motivates her because everybody in her lifetime rejected her.
Backstage, Kiana James said when she was young, she was reckless. Unlike Gigi, Kiana grew up and took the path to success.
In the ring, a pep rally was held for Thea Hail. Hail said next week, she will become the NXT Women’s Champion. Tiffany Stratton showed up and said Hail does not have a chance of winning the title and she won’t be able to tap her out. Hail put Stratton in the Kimura lock and Stratton started tapping.
Backstage, Diamond Mind said if The Dyad doesn’t like it here, they will be the ones to send them packing.
– #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Tag Team Match:
Josh Briggs & Brooks Jenson (w/ Fallon Henley) vs Edris Enofe & Malik Blade vs Hank Walker & Tank Ledger
Brooks and Jenson gave Ledger the Hart Attack. Briggs went for the pin on Ledger, but Enofe came off the top rope onto Briggs to break it up. Blade came off the top turnbuckle with a frog splash on Ledger and pinned him.
===Winners: Edris Enofe & Malik Blade
Backstage, Angel and Humberto told Gallus that if they were in that triple threat match, they would be beating them for their tag team titles.
Backstage, Damon Kemp told Eddy Thorpe that in two weeks, he is bringing RAW Underground to NXT. It will be just them in a 20 x 20 ring with no ropes and you can only win by KO, TKO, or submission. Thorpe accepted the offer. Behind them, Roxanne Perez attacked Blair Davenport. Officials pulled Roxanne off her and Davenport said game on.
Backstage, Seth Rollins told Nathan Frazier he is proud of the performer he’s become. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams congratulated Rollins on being World Champion.
Cora Jade vs Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke went for a somersault into the corner but her knee bucked. The trainers came out and put her on a stretcher. Jade said she is faking it and pulled Brooke by the hair. Brooke slapped Jade and got off the stretcher. They got back in the ring with Brooke selling her knee. Jade got Brooke in the single leg crab. Brooke refused to tap and the official stopped the match.
===Winner: Cora Jade
Earlier today, Von Wagner told Mr. Stone the story of him in the picture when he was a small child. Von Wagner said baby’s skulls are meant to stretch and grow, but his was fused into place early. It limits brain growth and there’s only one way to fix it and that’s with surgery. He was 15 months old in that picture and it was a 14-hour surgery. They cut him from ear to ear and pulled his face down and they fixed his skull and gave him a life. He was in intensive care for a week lucky to be alive. His dad was out working to pay the medical bills and his mom never left his side. The scarring on his head was bad and he did look different. The kids in his class used to call him a monster.
Backstage, Gable Steveson told Eddy Thorpe he heard he needs a training partner for Damon Kemp and if he will help him if he wants him to.
In the ring, Carmelo Hayes told Baron Corbin that if he thinks beating him is going to be the big jackpot and be Happy Corbin again. Corbin interrupted him and said what Happy Corbin did for him was buy him a 1.8 million dollar house. The reason he came back was him and all the 20-something year old kids in the back throw these surface level insults. He’s had an eight year career that most of them only dream of. If he wants to compare things, let’s compare bank accounts, lifestyles, Mania moments. All of that came from being a main event player on the main roster for nearly a decade. Hayes told Corbin he did have that, but what happened? He has a decade on him, but at 26 years old, he won the NXT Breakout Tournament and when Corbin was 26, he was getting cut from the Arizona Cardinals. Hayes told Corbin he gives him and all of the NXT Black and Gold members credit because they set the bar high. Corbin said he is going to win the NXT Championship, getting in his Porsche, driving back to his big ass house, putting it on his mantle, he will sit in his chair, and his hot ass wife is going to pour him a drink from a bottle Melo can’t afford and say today is a good day.
Nathan Frazier thanked Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon for their help last week. Frazier offered Dragon Lee a chance to win the Heritage Cup next week. Lee accepted and thanked Frazier.
Moments ago, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo got out of the car and attacked Joe Coffee. He put Coffee in the trunk of the car and drove off.
Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz vs Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson (w/ Noam Dar & Oro Mensah)
Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez made their way to ringside. Legend gave Feroz a big boot to the face and pinned her.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs Bron Breakker
Breakker hit Rollins with a Spear. Breakker came off the top rope, but was met by a Superkick by Rollins. Rollins gave Breakker a Curb Stomp. Rollins gave Breakker another Curb Stomp and pinned him to retain his championship.
===Winner: Seth Rollins
After the match, Finn Balor attacked Rollins. Officials tried to break it up, but Balor punched them. Balor dragged Rollins back to the ring and hit Rollins in the ribs with a chair. Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams charged the ring and Balor left.
