In the ring, Johnny Gargano said he’s back in NXT to finish his story. The last time he was in NXT, he was laying face down on the announce table with Grayson Waller standing above him. Gargano respected that, but he waited to see what Waller did with that moment. Waller had two chances and he failed. He started disrespecting the fans and NXT. Gargano said no matter what brand he’s on, NXT is his home. Vic Joseph showed Gargano his phone showing that Waller is at Gargano’s home. Gargano left the ring.
Earlier in the day, Axiom came up to Wes Lee in the parking lot and said nobody is going to beat him to get to the ring first to get a shot at his Open Challenge so he’s going to stay with him until the challenge happens.
In the parking lot, Johnny Gargano got in his vehicle to go home.
NXT Tag Team Championship: Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson)
All four wrestlers were fighting outside the ring. Pretty Deadly threw Wolfgang over the announce table. Prince brought in one of the tag team titles in front of the referee while Wilson hit Coffee with the other tag team title behind the referees back. Prince dropped his title belt and went for a pin but Coffee kicked out. Deadly went for the Hart Attack but Wolfgang pulled down the rope sending Prince to the floor. Coffee made the tag to Wolfgang. Wolfgang had Wilson up on his shoulder and Coffey hit Wilson with a boot to the face. Wolfgang pinned Wilson and got the win.
Winners: Gallus
Fallon Henley and Josh Briggs broke into Kiana James office to find evidence of Kiana James cheating on Brooks Jensen. They found a contract on her desk for James in an NXT Women’s Championship Qualifying Match tonight. They opened James’ planner showing her projected timeline. It showed she tried to win the Henley family bar and failed. She then wanted to recoup her loss by winning the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and succeeded. Under Operation Boyfriend, it showed, ‘ongoing’, and under ‘get Brooks to have Fallon tag with me’, it showed success. It showed drinks and dinner with Sebastion. They found the card that came with the flowers she received a week ago. It came from Sebastion thanking her for the date and stating that it was truly an unforgettable night and morning. Henley took a picture of the card.
They showed a tweet from Shawn Michaels stating that on Friday, Roxanne Perez was discharged from the hospital, but tests show her health is still in question. He has to crown a new NXT Women’s Champion at Stand and Deliver. Starting tonight, there will be a series of qualifying matches with the winners advancing to Stand and Delivery to compete to become the NXT Women’s Champion in a Ladder Match.
Roxanne Perez’ doctor was interviewed. He said tests showed no heart or brain problems. She is stable, but they are unable to identify what caused her to collapse. He wants to do more testing and consult other professionals including a clinical psychologist. He does not know when she can return to the ring.
NXT Women’s Championship Qualifying Match:
Sol Ruca vs Zoey Stark
Ruca did a moonsault off the top rope onto Stark outside the ring. Ruca threw Stark into the ring. Ruca tried to do a springboard clothesline, but Starks caught her and gave her a knee to the face and pinned her.
Winner: Zoey Stark
Number 1 Contender’s match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship at Stand & Deliver:
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley vs Kayden Carter & Katana Chance
Chance went for a cross body, Nile caught her, but then Fyre kicked Nile. Nile tried to tag Paxley, but Paxley stepped off the ring apron and didn’t want to make the tag. Paxley kicked Nile in the stomach and threw her back into the ring. Dawn hit Nile with a Backstabber while Fyre gave her a Swanton and pinned her.
Winners: Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn
Backstage, Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo told Bron Breakker they can take out Carmelo Hayes for him, but Breakker declined the offer. D’Angelo told Stacks it’s time they go after the tag team titles.
In the ring, Ilja Dragunov said he needs to get rid of JD McDonagh once and for all. McDonagh said they are more alike than different, but it was Dragunov that drove him out of the U.K. and followed him here, and when he got here, he put himself in his chase for the NXT Championship. They both vowed that next week they will take each other out in their match. They brawled to the back and they took it outside. They cut to an interview with Pretty Deadly.
Pretty Deadly realized they are no longer in contention for the tag team titles and won’t be going to Stand and Deliver. They came to the conclusion that they should host Stand and Deliver. They said they are on their way to pay somebody a very special visit.
Wes Lee was walking backstage on his way to his North American Open Challenge when McDonagh and Dragunov were still fighting amongst themselves. McDonagh shoved Lee and Lee became part of this fight before continuing to the ring.
Duke Hudson told Andre Chase that people are going to judge them by their win/loss record. Chase agreed but said Chase U is all about spirit. He told Hudson that because Hudson shows concern about the wins, maybe it’s because Chase U did more for him than anything in his entire life. Ava Raine came from behind and put a mask on a Chase U cone.
They showed a video of Grayson Waller entering the parking area of Johnny Gargano’s house with Waller saying Gargano left the door unlocked.
The NXT roster fought to make their way to the ring for Wes Lee’s open challenge. Axiom made his way into the ring first, but Scrypts flew over the top rope and caught him with a kick that took him out of the ring. McDonagh then came in the ring and clotheslined Lee. Dragunov then came in a few seconds later and continued his brawl with McDonagh. Lee then dove over the top rope onto the brawling roster.
Backstage, Dragon Lee said he’s been all around the world, but he’s excited to be in NXT.
Backstage, Jacy Jayne said Gigi Dolin on her best day is not one tenth as good as her. She said Dolin separated Jayne’s shoulder one minute into the match because she couldn’t beat her at 100%. Jayne said when she returns, she is going to break Dolin’s face and her heart again.
Apollo Crews vs Dabba-Kato
Kato choke slammed Crews on the ring steps outside the ring. Crews got back in the ring and Kato gave him a sit down powerbomb to get the win.
Winner: Apollo Crews
Backstage, an anonymous camera caught Wes Lee in the back talking with Shawn Michaels. Michaels told Lee that these open challenges are chaos. Lee said Michaels gave him an opportunity and all he’s trying to do is prove himself and pay it forward with as many wrestlers as possible. Michaels said he doesn’t have to prove himself as he’s already the champion. Lee said he disagrees and now he has to prove himself even more now that he is a champion. Michaels said he will meet him half way and have four guys at Stand and Delivery, so it will be a Fatal 5-Way. Lee agreed.
Backstage. Kiana James was leaving a message on Fallon Henley’s phone asking where she’s at because Jame’s match is next.
Kiana James vs Gigi Dolin
James caught Dolin with a backwards roll for a near fall. Dolin then caught James with a crucifix into a roll up for the win.
Winner: Gigi Dolin
After the match, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attacked James. Brooks Jensen came running down to make the save.
Johnny Gargano arrived at his home. As he was making his way to the front steps, Grayson Waller came from behind a bush and attacked him. They fought on the front yard. Candice LeRae, holding her baby, opened the door to see what was going on, but Gargano told her to stay inside. LeRae came out holding her baby telling Waller to stop. Waller finally left with Gargano laid out on his yard with LeRae checking on him.
James and Jensen were backstage. Henley and Josh Briggs showed up and James asked Henley where she was. Henley said she didn’t even know she had a qualifying match.
NXT Contract Signing
Carmelo Hayes came to the ring with Trick Williams. Bron Breakker made his way to the ring. They were at the table with no moderator. They both said they don’t need one. They both want to sign the contract. Hayes agreed and said the faster they sign this, the faster the countdown is to a new champion. Pretty Deadly came out and said they are the hosts of Stand and Deliver so it’s only right they should host the contract signing. Breakker and Hayes both told each other that they want their best versions of themselves in their match at Stand and Deliver. They both signed the contract and shook hands. Pretty Deadly told them we need drama at a contract signing. Breakker and Hayes slammed Pretty Deadly through the contract table.
