Backstage, Kiana James told Thea Hail there’s a difference between watching as a fan and watching a superstar. Hail told James she should have been in this tournament and challenged James to a match. James asked Hail if she needed permission to get the match. Hail asked Duke if she can have a match with James tonight. Hudson wasn’t paying any attention to this as he was writing in his notepad and said yea, do whatever you want.

In the back, Tyler Bate and Wes Lee were meditating. The Dyad attacked them and Joe Gacy told Bate and Lee that their friendship is based on lies and it will eventually burn out.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams pulled up in the parking lot, got out of their car, and came to the ring. Hayes said he is aware that this is not the same Bron Breakker he faced at Stand and Deliver, but Breakker needs to realize this is not the same Carmelo Hayes either. Hayes challenged Breakker to come out. Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey came out. Dempsey said Hayes and Williams disrespected them when they brushed past them on the way to the ring right when they found out their tag team match wasn’t happening. Williams challenged Gulak and Dempsey to a tag team match. Gulak and Dempsey jumped Williams and Melo, but Williams and Melo quickly got the better of them.

In a pre-tape, Ilja Dragunov told Dijak he is invincible. Dijak said he enjoys inflicting pain and there is not a man he can’t break. Dragunov said he invites him to try.

On a social media clip that happened over the weekend, Dani Palmer was attacked by an unknown person dressed all in black with a black mask.

The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius) (w/ Ivy Nile) vs The Dyad (Jagger Reid & Rip Fowler) (w/ Ava)

Rip Fowler grabbed Ivy Nile’s leg outside the ring. Nile walked slowly toward Fowler. Ava from behind tried to slam Nile, but Nile reversed it into a choke. Brutus gave Fowler the Brutus Bomb. Inside the ring, Reid charged at Julius Creed who moved out of the way and gave him a clothesline and pinned him.

In a pre-tape from yesterday, Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo were in a restaurant. Stacks said Joe Coffey should not have threatened D’Angelo. D’Angelo said Joe will get his and Gallus will get theirs when they take the tag team titles from them. Stacks got a call and told D’Angelo he had to leave because it’s the latest shipment from the docks. Two officers showed up and asked D’Angelo to come down to the station as there are a couple ongoing criminal investigations that his name is associated with. Lorenzo came back and asked the waitress what happened. She told him the investigators took D’Angelo in for questioning.

The Creeds came to the announce desk. Julius said by the looks of it, it doesn’t look like Gallus has any challengers, so they challenged Gallus to a match for Gallus’ NXT Tag Team Championship at Battleground.

The Supernova Sessions with Noam Dar: Dragon Lee

Dragon Lee challenged Noam Dar to a match for his Heritage Cup. Nathan Frazer came out and called Dar a fraud. He said the cup is an annual trophy that has to be defended just like every title in WWE. He said everybody would like to see Dragon Lee take on Dar for the cup. Lee challenged Dar at Battleground. Dar accepted Lee’s challenge at Battleground and Dar challenged Frazer to a non-title match next week.

In a pre-tape, Dragunov was tied up in a chair. Dijak asked him if he’s had enough. Dragunov said, “Not even close.”

Backstage, Jacy Jayne said Roxanne Perez’s time has come and gone. Jayne said after she eliminates her tonight, she will advance to the semi-finals where she wanted to fight Gigi Dolin, but Dolin is nothing more than a failure.

Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams vs Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey

Williams gave Dempsey a kick to the face. Hayes tagged in and came off the top rope with a leg drop across Dempsey’s neck and pinned him.
===Winners: Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

After the match, Hayes again challenged Breakker. Breakker appeared on the video screen. He said he made a stop before going to the arena which was the barbershop.

Backstage, Duke Hudson was writing in his notepad. Thea Hail told him let’s go. Hudson asked her where they were going. Hail said to the ring because he gave her permission to wrestle tonight. Hudson said, “I did?” with a confused look on his face and acted like he remembered and said, “Of course I did.”

Backstage, Lash Legend told Noam Dar that there are too many talk shows on and the only one people should be talking about is Lashing Out with Lash Legend.

Thea Hail (w/ Duke Hudson) vs Kiana James

Duke Hudson was not paying any attention to this match as he continued to write in his notepad. Hail hit James with a cross body off the top rope for a near fall. James gave Hail a Gordbuster followed by the 401K and pinned her.

Backstage, Tank Ledger was checking out his new tooth. Josh Briggs told Ledger that Ledger is tough because he didn’t throw that good of a punch since he hit Brooks Jensen. Jensen said they are a better team after fighting each other. Ledger told Hank Walker they should fight each other so they can become closer together like Briggs and Jensen did. Walker agreed to it next week.

In the training room, Tyler Bate was getting checked out after getting attacked earlier tonight. Wes Lee said to stay tuned.

In a pre-tape, Dabba-Kato said he was hoping to go to RAW or SmackDown, but he’s not going anywhere as he still has gold to capture.

In the ring, Wes Lee said Joe Gacy didn’t need to attack Tyler Bate. If Gacy wanted an NXT North American Championship match, all he had to do was ask. Gacy and Ava appeared in the balcony. Gacy said he does want a championship match with him at Battleground. Ava told Lee that Tyler Bate is deceiving him. Bate came out and told Gacy he has a receipt coming his way. Bate told Lee he would be lying if he said he didn’t want a shot at his title as well. Lee asked Bate why he didn’t say something before. Bate said they can still do this in the spirit of competition and he would never let the title get in the way of their friendship. Gacy asked Lee who’s it going to be at Battleground. Lee said he will take on both of them in a Triple Threat Match at Battleground.

In a pre-tape, Roxanne Perez reflected back on the last year. She said she knows where she wants to go in the next year and it’s just a matter of how she gets there.

In the back, Von Wagner told Mr. Stone that he’s the only one who believed in him from the beginning. Stone asked him if he was ready to talk about the picture. Wagner said nice try.

Jayne gave Perez a superkick and forearm for a near fall. Jayne followed up with a knee to the jaw. Jayne went for a kick, but Perez ducked and hit Jayne with the Pop Rock and pinned her.
