 Welcome to our live coverage of WWE NXT, tonight’s episode will serve as the one year anniversary of NXT 2.0. Anounced for tonight’s show, Pretty Deadly will defend their NXT tag team championships against The Creed Brothers inside of a steel cage, Cameron Grimes and a “mystery” partner of his choosing will take on Tony D’Angelo and Stacks, Arianna Grace will team with Kiana James to take on the team of Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark, Fallon Henley will take on Lash Legend, Hank Walker will take on Javier Bernal, and Carmelo Hayes will defend his NXT North American championship against an opponent of the WWE universe’s choosing.

Match 1: Steel Cage match: NXT tag team championships: Pretty Deadly (c) vs The Creed Brothers 

– The match starts off with all four men brawling, Brutus then stops Wilson from escaping from the door, Prince then attempts to climb over but Julius keeps him in by his hand, The Creed Brothers then send Pretty Deadly face first into the sides of the cage, Julius then hits a codebreaker on Julius to secure a nearfall, Brutus then powerbombs Prince into the cage, Brutus and Wilson then brawl on top of the cage, Julius then hits a reverse Spanish fly on Prince as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Wilson land two slaps to the chest of Julius, Pretty Deadly then hit a superplex on Julius from the top of the cage, Brutus then hits a gutwrench on Prince, Brutus then hits a cannonball onto Pretty Deadly from the shoulders of Julius, Damon Kemp then climbs on the cage, Kemp then handcuffs Julius against the cage, Brutus then hits a cannonball from the top rope onto Pretty Deadly, Prince then attempts to crawl out the door but Brutus pulls him back in, Pretty Deadly then hit the spilt milk on Brutus but Brutus kicks out at two, Pretty Deadly them send Brutus head first into the cage multiple times, Pretty Deadly then hit another spilt milk on Brutus to secure the pinfall victory.

Winners via pinfall and STILL NXT tag team champions: Pretty Deadly at 14:58.

– Wes Lee is revealed to have won the vote to challenge Carmelo Hayes for the North American championship tonight.

– We get a video package highlighting the first year of NXT 2.0.

Match 2: Fallon Henley vs Lash Legend 

– The match starts off with Lash landing a knee to the stomach of Henley, Henley then hits a single leg dropkick on Legend, Legend then knocks He ley off the apron with a big boot, Legend then sends Henley face first into the ringpost, Henley then hits a bulldog on Legend, followed by a shining wizard to secure the pinfall victory.

Winner via pinfall: Fallon Henley at 2:18.

– Toxic Attraction are in the ring, Mandy says that at Worlds Collide she unified the titles by taking out the two best women in NXT UK history, Mandy says that she will run NXT Europe too. Gigi says that they made the NXT women’s tag team championships the most valuable in the business, Jayne says that there’s Toxic Attraction, and there’s everyone else, Mandy says that Bron and Melo are great champions but they haven’t held the titles as long as they have, Alba Fyre then interrupts, Fyre says in Scotland, they don’t brag but instead they let the hard work do the talking for them, Fyre says that when Mandy looks into her eyes, she sees the next NXT women’s champion, Alba then takes out Jayne and Gigi with the bat, Alba then hits a gory special on Mandy, Alba then goes to the top rope but Gigi and Jayne pulls Mandy out.

Match 3: Quincy Elliott vs Sean Gallagher 

– The match starts off with Quincy dancing, Sean then lands a stiff right to the face of Quincy, Quincy then hits a flying back elbow to the face of Sean, Quincy then hits a banzai drop on Sean from the second rope to secure the pinfall victory.

Winner via pinfall: Quincy Elliott at 1:21.

– Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams beat down Wes Lee in his locker room, Hayes then slams the locker door on the head of Lee.

Match 4: Tony D’Angelo and Stacks vs Cameron Grimes and Joe Gacy

– The match starts off with Grimes and Stacks locking up, Grimes then kicks Stacks in the back of the head, Grimes then lands a series of kicks to the chest of D’Angelo, Stacks then stomps away on Grimes in the corner, Tony and Stacks then land a doubleteam elbow to the face of Grimes, Joe Gacy then walks out with Schism, Gacy then gets on the apron to be Grime’s partner, Tony then lands a double underhook suplex on Grimes, Grimes then hits a double hurricarana on Stacks and Tony, Gacy then tags himself in, Gacy them hits a splash on Stacks in the corner, followed by a powerslam, Grimes tells Gacy that he doesn’t need his help, Grimes then hits the cave in on Tony as Gacy hits the rebound closeline on Stacks to secure the pinfall victory. 

Winners via pinfall: Joe Gacy and Cameron Grimes at 5:37. 

– After the match, Grimes tells Gacy that he doesn’t need him, The Dyad then attacks Grimes from behind, Dyad then hit a doubleteam codebreaker on Grimes, Gacy then hits the rebound closeline on Grimes. 

– We get a sit-down interview with Bron Breakker, Bron says that the NXT audience accepting him with open arms, Bron says that losing to Ciampa was the best thing to ever happen to him because it taught him how to deal with loss, Bron says that it was a surreal moment to induct The Steiner Brothers into the 2022 WWE Hall Of Fame, Bron talks about losing the NXT championship to Dolph Ziggler and winning it back on Raw, Bron says that after being Gunther he proved that he can carry NXT, Bron then talks about his rivalry with Joe Gacy because it elevated his game, Bron says that he doesn’t look into the future, but instead the present.

Match 5: Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark vs Arianna Grace and Kiana James 

– The match starts off with Stark and James, Lyons then hits a suplex on James, all four women almost brawl as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Nikkita land a fallaway slam on Grace, Stark then hits a suplex on Grace, Stark then hits a chop to the chest of James, James then locks Lyons in a headlock, Stark then hits a big back bodydrop on James, Grace then hits a big boot to the face of Stark, Lyons then hits a spinning kick to the face of Grace, Lyons then pins Grace with the splits to secure the pinfall victory.

Winners via pinfall: Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark at 9:05.

Match 6: Javier Bernal vs Hank Walker 

– The match starts off with Javier locking Hank in a headlock, Hank then throws Javier across the ring, Hank then lands two splashes on Javier in the corner, Hank then hits a flying forearm to the face of Javier to secure the pinfall victory.

Winner via pinfall: Hank Walker at 3:24.

– Bron Breakker wins the NXT superstar of the year.

– Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams make their entrance, Trick says they are too good to be humble, Hayes says that Wes Lee won’t make it out here, Hayes says that he did Lee a favor because he couldn’t handle it, Hayes says that no one wants to see him succeed, Solo Sikoa then interrupts. Sikoa says that he has next.

Match 7: North American championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs Solo Sikoa 

– The match starts off with Sikoa hitting a big bodydrop on Hayes, Sikoa then hits a back elbow on Hayes, Sikoa then throws Hayes into Trick on the outside. 

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Sikoa bury his hand into the shoulder of Hayes, Hayes then hits a springboard closeline on Sikoa, Hayes then works on the knee of Sikoa, Sikoa then superkicks Hayes, followed by a Samoan drop, Hayes then hits a codebreaker on Sikoa, Sikoa then hits a Samoan drop on Hayes, Sikoa then superkicks Trick off the apron, Sikoa then hits a sideslam on Hayes, followed by a top rope splash to secure the pinfall victory. 

Winner via pinfall and NEW North American champion: Solo Sikoa at 10:03.  

– NXT ends with Shawn Michaels thanking the NXT fans.
