WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Tony D’Angelo was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Tony brought the fight to the champion as the fans took a while to get behind him. Tony avoided an H-bomb by kicking him away. Stacks was rooting on Tony and at one point, gave him brass knuckles, but Tony refused to use them. The champion with several forearm shots to the back of the head of Tony in front of the family. They brawled on the top rope before Tony hit a belly-to-belly suplex. They brawled on the floor, leading to Dragunov hitting an H-bomb on the floor and then a second one through the table. Dragunov with a super H-bomb off the middle rope for the win.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov
