NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
Perez went after the injured left elbow of the champion right out of the gate. Several minutes went by with the champion selling before she made a comeback. Lyra with a knee strike to Perez then a suplex for 2. Lyra blocked an outside only for Perez to hit pop rocks in the ring for 2. There was some outside interference by Taya Paxley against Lyra. Back in the ring, Perez went for a submission, but Lyra got out and caught her with a head kick for 2. Perez with pop rocks then transitioned into the crossface for the win.
