When Triple H first took over main roster creative, he started using NXT stars for Main Event TV tapings as a reward for the wrestlers to work in front of a bigger crowd and get a feel of what the main roster is like.
He has also used NXT stars at house shows. WWE ran a live event at the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX, on Sunday, where a former NXT Women’s Champion was in action as Roxanne Perez was used in the opening match. It was a special night for the hometown girl.
Perez was last seen in action on NXT TV when she put over Asuka on the October 10th episode of NXT. She did score a win over Lash Legend four days later at an NXT house show.
She most notably worked a trios bout on the October 14, 2022, SmackDown, the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and put over Emma at the June 8th Main Event TV tapings.
Perez teamed with Raquel Rodriguez to beat Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre in a tag team match. The show was headlined by LA Knight defeating Solo Sikoa in a Street Fight.
