WWE NXT Vengeance Day Results: Lola Vice Fails in Contract Cash-In Attempt, Lyra Valkyria Retains Women’s Title

NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Vengeance Day premium live event from the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, TN. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:

They did a series of quick pin attempts to start things off. Things took a turn when Perez went for an outside dive and Lyra hit her with a forearm shot. Perez knocked her down and hit a spring board moonsault for 2. Perez hit pop rocks before Lola Vice ran out with her breakout tournament contract that guaranteed her a title match and she cashed it in. The match was turned into a triple threat match. Lol put Perez in a sleeper, but Perez got out of it before eating a spin kick to the head. Vice with a triangle choke on Perez before Lyra broke it up with a splash on Vice for 2. Perez with a series of outside dives. Vice with a spinning back elbow for 2 before going for arn armbar. Lyra with a head kick to Vice before Perez rolled up Lyra for 2. Tatum Paxley took out Perez. Lyra with her finisher to Vice for the win.

Winner: Lyra Valkyria
