WWE Raw star was considered for a role in Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” movie

Damian Priest has proven himself in WWE as part of NXT and the main roster. After making his main roster as part of the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble match, he won the United States Championship at Summerslam that same year.

He also teamed with Bad Bunny for a tag team match at WrestleMania 37 that received high praise, specifically for Bunny’s performance in the match.

Earlier this year, Priest turned heel and aligned himself with The Judgment Day alongside Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio.

According to Fightful Select, Priest was asked by Marvel Studios to read for the role of Namor, the primary antagonist of the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” movie, which is a sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther.

The report noted that Priest was also considered for a role as one of the other “featured members” of Namor’s kingdom, the Talokan. It is unclear whether he attended the line reading. Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta instead plays Namor.

In Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, former WWE Champion Dave Bautista has made several appearances as Drax the Destroyer, part of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
