WWE United States Champion Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens took place at the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event from Tampa, FL at Tropicana Field.
Owens took the fight to Paul right out of the gate. They brawled on the floor, with Owens hitting a back splash on the apron. Paul kicked Owens’ hand and then hit an outside dive. Paul targeted Owens’s “injured” hand. Owens fought back and hit a cannonball in the corner before hitting a frog splash for 2. Owens went for a Swanton bomb off the top rope, but Paul put up the knees. Paul went for the move and Owens left. Paul with a frog splash for 2. Owens with a frog splash for 2. Paul has a major league right hand for 2. Jeff from Paul’s entourage came out at ringside before being taken away. Paul and Owens with a double clothesline. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller came out as well. Waller gave Paul brass knuckles, but Owens took them and hit Paul with them, but the referee saw the knuckles, causing the DQ. Owens laid out Paul with a powerbomb through the announce table after the match.
