Tonight on WWE SmackDown Revolution
Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown is stacked with the New Year’s Resolution theme that will determine who Roman Reigns defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against at the Royal Rumble.
The winner of Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight will earn the right to challenge Reigns for the title at the PLE later this month.
Also on tap for the show are WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY vs. Michin and Kevin Owens vs. Santos Escobar in the WWE US Title Contender Tournament Finals. US Champion Logan Paul will also appear

#1 Contender’s Match for the United States Championship
Kevin Owens vs Santos Escobar (w/ Angel & Humberto)
Logan Paul did commentary for this match. Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro immediately jumped Angel and Humberto at the start of the match and they fought to the back. Escobar blocked the stunner and rolled up Owens for a near fall. Owens blocked a kick by Escobar and hit him a superkick. Owens gave Escobar a pop-up powerbomb, gave him a stunner, and pinned him.
===Winner: Kevin Owens
After the match, Logan Paul told Kevin Owens that he will never beat him for the United States Championship. When Logan got in the ring to talk more trash to Owens, Owens punched Logan in the face.
In the back, Logan Paul was holding a bag of ice to his head. Cameron Grimes laughed and told Logan Paul that I see you met Kevin. Grayson Waller pushed Grimes and the two were separated by an agent. Austin Theory told Logan not to worry about Grimes and they walked away.
In the ring, Bobby Lashley said 2023 was probably the toughest year of his career, not because he didn’t put in the work, but because the work that I put in didn’t translate into the results I wanted. The Street Profits and myself are going to take everything we deserve in 2024. The Street Profits said they want the tag team titles. Lashley said his goal is getting back to being the Almighty and he’s going to do that by declaring himself an entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble. Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Paul Ellering came out of the entrance area and AOP attacked The Street Profits from behind. Kross attacked Lashley. The AOP gave the Profits the Super Collider. Kross gave Lashley the F5.
WWE Women’s Championship Match
IYO SKY (champion) vs Michin
Michin gave SKY a Styles Clash of the second turnbuckle, but SKY got her hand on the rope to break the pinfall. SKY rolled out of the ring. Michin dove through the ropes but missed when SKY moved out of the way. SKY gave Michin the Meteora into the barricade. SKY rolled Michin back in the ring and hit her with a running knee in the corner. SKY hit Michin with the Over the Moon Moonsault and pinned her.

In the back, Paul Heyman said The Rock name drops Roman Reigns because The Rock wants to sit at the head of the table. To sit at the head of the table, one must be invited to a dinner of relevancy. The Rock has not been invited, nor will he be.
Backstage, Bayley told Damage CTRL she see greatness in all of them. My plan is the Kabuki Warriors are going to win the tag team titles. Dakota Kai said Bayley will win the Royal Rumble and take the title off Rhea Ripley. Bianca Belair congratulated IYO SKY on her win tonight and told Bayley she is getting ahead of herself because I’m entering the Royal Rumble and I can’t wait to throw you over the top rope. I’m going to win the Royal Rumble and then at WrestleMania, I’m going to take back m title and the IYO era ends. Dakota told Bayley she needs to take care of Bianca.
Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) vs Butch and Tyler Bate
Prince pushed Butch off the top turnbuckle and Wilson rolled him up for a near fall. Butch and Bate gave Wilson a double Tiger Driver ’97 and pinned him.

Backstage, Ashanti Thee Adonis told Nick Aldis that I’ve been struggling lately. I don’t know what my place is here and I feel lost, but I don’t want you to feel sorry for me. I’m hungry and I’ve been ready. I just need an opportunity. Aldis said I don’t feel sorry for you because I’ve believed in you from the beginning. I’ve got some ideas for you that I think you will be interested to hear.
Triple Threat Match with the winner to wrestle Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble
AJ Styles vs LA Knight vs Randy Orton
Styles tried to hit Orton with the Phenomenal Forearm, but Orton caught him with an RKO. Orton went for the cover, but Knight pulled the referee out of the ring. Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman came down to ringside. Reigns, Solo, and Jimmy got in the ring and attacked Styles, Knight, and Orton. Solo hit Orton with the ringside steps. Reigns powebombed Styles and gave Knight a Superman punch and a spear. Jimmy rolled Orton back in the ring. Solo gave Orton the Samoan Spike at the same time Reigns hit Orton with the spear. Nick Aldis was outside the ring and told Paul Heyman to tell Reigns congratulations because he now has made this a Fatal Four Way match at Royal Rumble.
