Drew McIntyre called out WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Sheamus went out to the ring and took issue with this because he says that McIntyre already knew that he was going to issue the challenge for a belt he’s been chasing for 15 years. Sheamus called McIntyre a “backstabbing bastard.”
The segment was interrupted by LA Knight, The New Day and Karrion Kross and a brawl broke out. Woods attacked McIntyre from behind and it looked like McIntyre thought that Sheamus did it.
The segment was designed to make fans think that Sheamus and McIntyre will be splitting up again after reuniting just a couple of months ago. Up until recently, Sheamus and McIntyre had been teaming as The Banger Bros.
