WWE SmackDown’s Return to USA Network Will Reportedly Mean the End of Raw and NXT on the Network

WWE’s programming rights deals for Raw, NXT and SmackDown are up next year as Raw and NXT have current deals with the USA Network while SmackDown currently airs on FOX.

All three deals are up in the Fall of 2024. WWE announced today that they will be leaving FOX after inking a five-year deal to bring SmackDown back to the USA Network starting in October 2024, keeping the blue brand on the network until 2029.

The announcement also noted that WWE will produce “four primetime specials per year” that will air on NBC. You can check out the full announcement here

The Hollywood Reporter reports, “While the new deal will bring WWE to NBC primetime and SmackDown to USA on Friday nights, it will also mean the end of Raw and NXT on USA.”

A source told the media outlet that the talks for Raw’s rights are “extremely active” with “traditional linear networks, streaming services and ‘unexpected players’ all interested.”
