More details regarding Mandy Rose’s WWE release on Wednesday, which was said to have caught her off guard, continue to come out.
As previously reported, WWE felt like they were put in a tough position based on the adult content she was posting, and it was outside of the parameters of her deal with the company.
Fightful Select reports that things seemed “very hasty” regarding her losing the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez on Tuesday’s NXT. The media outlet got word about 15 minutes before the show that Rose would lose the title.
Those close to Rose claim she was in good spirits at the NXT show and immediately following the release.
Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, who had been in a stable with Rose as Toxic Attraction for over a year, had several looks on the WWE main roster. Fightful was told that they had long impressed people of influence but had not learned of any advanced plans to bring Mandy back to the main roster.
The report stated that “there were some WWE sources that were at least trying to leak that Mandy Rose had requested her release two weeks ago, but so far, we’ve not been given any indication that’s true.”
Rose was among the WWE stars to sign five-year deals in 2019 for big money, and she had nearly two years left on her contract at the time of the release.
