WWE Star Had Turned Down A Good Offer From AEW

Since 2019, when All Elite Wrestling launched, wrestlers have gone back and forth between AEW and WWE, with big money being offered to talent. It’s been an exciting time in the history of the wrestling business.

Andrade’s AEW run

Andrade is someone who has been able to take his talents from WWE to AEW and then from AEW to WWE. In March 2021, Andrade requested his release from WWE after finding a lot of success, including a run as the NXT Champion, where he later joined AEW.

Andrade had been making hints that he wasn’t happy with the promotion before losing to Miro at the AEW World End pay-per-view event in December. He had been expected to return to WWE, something that happened at the Royal Rumble in January.

Offer

Dave Meltzer noted on Twitter in a response to a user that Andrade got a good offer from AEW to stay, and it wasn’t a case where AEW let Andrade walk without making an attempt to re-sign him as he wanted to go back to WWE considering his wife, Charlotte Flair, works for the company.

Andrade hasn’t wrestled for WWE since the Royal Rumble, although he has made appearances on television.
