WWE recently filed a trademark for the name Saquon Shugars, but at the time of the filing, it wasn’t clear who the name was for. That has changed.
WWE held a live event for NXT on Friday night from Dada City, where Lucky Ali worked under the name, teaming with Joshua Black to take on Edris Enofe and Malik Blade in a losing effort.
Ali broke into the business in 2018, where he worked for various promotions such as Fire Star Pro Wrestling, PWX, DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling, and more. He attended a WWE tryout last year before joining the company in January. Brogan Finlay, the son of former WWE star Finlay, was another top name from that Performance Center Class.
Ali has only worked three matches in WWE, with the previous two bouts happening in February at live events.
