Heading into 2024, WWE is gearing up for yet another big year thanks to new TV deals with NXT & the CW Network and SmackDown & USA Network, with the expectation that WWE will secure a new deal for Raw shortly.
The year
WWE had a record year of business, and one star, Dominik Mysterio, also had a breakout year.
Although Mysterio found success with his legendary father, Rey Mysterio, as a tag team where they held gold, his career took off once he was paired with Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Rhea Ripley as a member of Judgment Day. He has also broke out as a singles star.
What’s next?
He worked a match with his father at WrestleMania 39 in addition to having two runs as the North American Champion. WWE thinks highly of him not only based on the way they book him but also giving him the spotlight of being the opponent for CM Punk when Punk works his first WWE matches since 2014 next week at live events.
Pwinsider reports that Mysterio recently signed a new WWE deal. Pen was put to paper a month ago and is believed to be a five-year contract.
