At the NXT Halloween Havoc event, WWE showed the T-Bar mask being burned to signify that he is going back to a previous name.
Dominik Dijakovic became T-BAR as part of the Retribution stable created by Vince McMahon. The Retribution storyline fell apart and wrestlers like T-BAR have floundered on the main roster. It looks like the current regime is attempting to give Dijakovic a fresh coat of paint.
During the Halloween Havoc post-show media call, Shawn Michaels gave credit to NXT writer Johnny Russo for coming up with the idea to burn the mask and he did not deny that the vignette is to signal the end of the T-BAR character.
The change for T-BAR/Dijakovic had been rumored for some time because PWInsider reported in August that there was talk about repackaging him.
T-BAR has deleted most of his tweets. One of the deleted tweets that was posted back in August said, “I sense something, a presence I’ve not felt since…”
