WWE star listed under two different names on roster page

Commander Azeez was brought back to WWE television last month at NXT Vengeance Day under the Dabba-Kato name when Apollo Crews took on Carmelo Hayes in a 2-out-3 falls match.

Trick Williams tried to get involved, but Kato took him out before the finish with Hayes going over. Post-match, Kato picked up Crews and hugged Crews before laying him out.

On last week’s NXT broadcast, Kato picked up a win over Crews in a singles match.

Azeez joined WWE in 2016, making his main roster debut in 2018 as part of The Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia. Kato first used the name in 2020 after being used for a Raw Underground segment. At WrestleMania 37, he helped Crews win the Intercontinental Championship, and the two had been aligned until last summer.

Before his recent return, he hadn’t been used since last July on Main Event episodes after splitting up from Crews in June 2022 once Crews went to NXT.

As seen below, WWE’s roster page lists both Commander Azeez and Dabba-Kato, even though it’s the same person portraying the characters. It’s likely an oversight, as maybe someone forgot to remove the Azeez photo.
