Monday’s episode of WWE Raw was the first show to go up against NFL Monday Night Football on ESPN and ABC. The company was missing one of its regular stars on the show.
That star was Matt Riddle, who has been in the headlines as of late as on Sunday, he accused a New York City airport police officer at JFK airport of sexual harassment. He made the accusation on Instagram, a post he later deleted.
Law enforcement sources state that Port Authority officers received a call about a disorderly person who was deplaning. This person turned out to be Riddle, who seemed apologetic when he was speaking with the police, and no police report was filed. They are launching an internal investigation.
He was later pulled from Monday’s Raw and this weekend’s live events. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Riddle missed the show because he’s dealing with a double ear infection and bronchitis.
“He was not on the show tonight, but that’s because he had a double ear infection and bronchitis. It was not a punishment, as far as I know. He may have been punished also, but as far as anyone knows, it’s an illness. WWE has not made any comments on it at all.”
