A WWE Raw star will be out of action for a while.
It was announced during WWE Monday Night Raw’s Michael Cole that Imperium member Giovanni Vinci would be out of action for a “number of weeks’ after he suffered an injury on last week’s show.
Vinci was in a match with Kofi Kingston last week but it was stopped by the referee and the doctor at ringside after Vinci took a dropkick from Kingston and landed badly in the ring. It was not made clear what the nature of the injury he suffered but the video appears to show Vinci landing on the back of his head.
This week on Raw, Kingston and Ludwig Kaiser wrestled to a double count out as they fought around the ringside area. Kaiser showed a more vicious side of himself when he did a running dropkick into Kingston’s head and sent him into the steel steps. It was explained that Kaiser was avenging his fallen tag team partner.
It was also announced that GUNTHER will be back next week after taking several weeks off, believed to be because of the birth of his baby. There is no word on when Vinci is expected back in action.
