WWE star R-Truth confirmed today that he suffered a torn quad last week during his match with Grayson Waller.
Truth confirmed on his social media accounts that he needs surgery that will keep him out of action for a while. The injury occurred during last week’s NXT broadcast when Truth did a dive over the top and landed badly on the floor. The match was immediately called off as officials and trainers helped Truth to the back.
Dave Meltzer first reported last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he believed that Truth tore his quad. There is no word on exactly how long he will be out but quad injuries can take a long time to heal.
Truth was the latest main roster star sent to NXT to help the young talent and potentially give a boost to the ratings. Click below to watch the video posted on Truth’s social media account.
