WWE Star Recently Signed A New Deal

WWE has several wrestlers under contract, with many pointing towards next year as the likes of Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch will decide whether they want to stay with WWE by re-signing or finding out their worth on the free agent market.

One star is a little bit different as he signed a new deal, but it’s one of a main roster contract that has different perks than those in NXT. When a talent is in NXT, they make less money, but their travel and other things are covered by WWE even when working main roster shows. However, when someone is officially called up, they will sign a new main roster deal that doesn’t cover travel and hotel but sees a big bump in pay.

When Dragon signed in 2022, the expectation was he would be fast-tracked to the main roster because they thought he could be the next great Mexican star, such as Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero. That has happened as he is a member of the SmackDown roster.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Lee signed a new main roster deal.

“Dragon Lee signed his new main roster deal last week. Basically it made it worth it to him of having signed the NXT deal rather than the offered AEW deal. As noted, he went to people who knew the U.S. scene who told him he’d be lost in the shuffle in AEW,” Meltzer wrote.
