WWE star recently snapped a lengthy losing streak

While most fans have heard the saying that not every wrestler can be used on television every week, not everyone can be used on a regular basis and receive a push where they win the majority of their matches.

Turning things around

Butch, aka Pete Dunne, has been mostly used as a tag team star since making his main roster debut last year alongside Ridge Holland and Sheamus. The Brawling Brutus put over other teams or be at ringside for Sheamus’ singles matches.

Tyler Bate is now on the main roster after making his main roster debut during Friday’s episode of SmackDown, where he teamed with Butch against Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) on the show.

The stat

Butch put an end to a losing streak that had been going on as he previously scored a win on an episode of SmackDown several months ago. According to CageMatch.net, his last SmackDown win was on the June 30th episode of SmackDown when he won a triple threat match over LA Knight and Santos Escobar in London.

Before this recent win, he had been booked to either lose or go to no contest finish when working on SmackDown. In 2023, he held a 9-22 record in matches on television. In singles matches on TV that same year, he went 4-6, while he held a record of 4-12 in tag team or multi-man matches.
