A former NXT Champion made his return tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw.
Tommaso Ciampa, who has been out of action rehabbing in injury, made his return tonight. Ciampa went out to the ring after The Miz issued an open challenge. Miz thought this would be a reunion since they worked alongside each other before but Ciampa had other plans.
Ciampa attacked Miz and the match got started. Ciampa made quick work of The Miz and beat him in a short match after hitting the Fairytale Ending. Ciampa’s return has been rumored for weeks and Johnny Gargano has been teasing a DIY reunion on TV and on social media.
There were no hints (yet) from Ciampa that he and Gargano will be teaming again. Corey Graves specifically mentioned that there are some questions that need to be answered in regard to Ciampa’s turn on Miz.
