A former Intercontinental Champion may be showing back up in NXT in the near future.
Shinsuke Nakamura hasn’t been featured much on TV in recent weeks but Fightful Select reports that Nakamura is being discussed to appear on the NXT brand. It’s unclear if this is a one-off thing or a situation similar to Apollo Crews.
Nakamura recently traveled to Japan to attend Antonio Inoki’s funeral. The last time Nakamura wrestled on TV was on the 8/26 SmackDown when he defeated Happy Corbin. He has wrestled on just a small handful of dark matches and live events since that time.
