Although Tommaso Ciampa has yet to make his return to WWE television, the former NXT Champion is on his way back and will be reuniting with DIY tag team partner Johnny Gargano.
Ciampa has been on the sidelines since he underwent hip surgery in October. His last match happened at the September 17th WWE live event when he faced Bobby Lashley. However, it’s been reported that Ciampa’s return is expected to happen imminently.
At the same time, Gargano has teased another member of his family popping up, leading to speculation that the two stars will reunite and Ciampa will be a member of The Way alongside Indi Hartwell, Lumis, and Candice LeRae.
The reunion could happen as soon as next week as Gargano has teased returning to WWE TV on next Monday’s Raw, which just so happens to be in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
In a post on Twitter, he teased: “You know what they say.. there’s no place like home..”
It would be a feel-good moment to have Gargano and Ciampa reunite on this show. It’s unclear how exactly WWE plans to use Gargano on the show, but Seth Rollins is defending his World Heavyweight Title in an open challenge.
Insider account Boozer (#BWE), which has broken past WWE stories, reported as recently as Monday night that WWE still had plans for them to reunite.
